Digital
x-rays use 50-90% less radiation than old-fashioned x-rays.
Additional benefits include the elimination of old fashioned
dark room chemicals, which is better for the environment.
The highly detailed image of your teeth on our computer
screen can be rotated, magnified, adjusted for contrast,
and even color-coded for educational purposes. Further,
we can store it in our computer files, thus saving paper.
For insurance purposes, referrals, or patient education,
it can be accurately reproduced any number of times. In
summary, digital x-rays are faster, cleaner, and allow us
to provide better quality care.

The
Problem
Recently media has reported concerns of bacterial contamination
and biofilms that are being found in dental waterlines.
We too have become concerned about this and have taken appropriate
steps to address this issue. We want you, our patients and
our staff, to be protected.
Microorganisms occur everywhere in nature, both inside
and outside your body. One of the most common types of microorganism
collections, or biofilms, is the plaque that forms on teeth.
These organisms are present on faucets, water fountains/bubblers,
environmental surfaces, in storage vessels, bottles and
inside virtually all types and all sizes of plumbing lines
– even chlorinated city waterlines. Even the plumbing
in your home can be colonized by certain types of organisms.
We have installed a system as a solution to this issue.
Our Solution
In order to control the quality of the water in our dental
units, we have installed a product called VistaClear.
This device has patents worldwide and has been cleared by
regulatory agencies as a Class I medical device. The system
uses multiple technologies that work together to provide
improved water quality and reduce bacterial contamination
in all of the water we use in our dental equipment. We also
use a special aqueous cleaner called VistaClean that
works in conjunction with the VistaClear system to
help keep our waterlines fresh and clean during every procedure.
We are committed to total quality care and the safety
of all our patients and staff. If you have further questions
on this topic, please ask us anytime.
